Traveling to Anand, Gujarat

Anand is 65 km to the south of Ahmedabad and 40 km to the North of Vadodara in Gujarat State in India.

By Air
The nearest airport to Anand is Vadodara (40 km). Most domestic airlines in India operate flights to Vadodara from major cities. Some airlines have direct international flights to Ahmedabad (65 km) as well.

By Road
Anand is 70 km to the south of Ahmedabad and 40 to the north of Vadodara. The Ahmedabad – Vadodara expressway that connects both cities to Anand is very well maintained. Traveling from Ahmedabad to Anand by road will take approximately 1.5 hrs and from Vadodara about 1 hr. Public transport buses to Anand are available every half an hour from Ahmedabad and Vadodara bus stations.

By Train
Anand is the city's main station, and there are daily trains plying the route between Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Mumbai and New Delhi.

The fastest and possibly the most comfortable way to travel between Mumbai and Anand is on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi and Karnawati Express trains, which cover the Mumbai-Anand leg of the journey in less than 6 hours. Although slightly more expensive than other trains, all the Shatabdi's coaches are air-conditioned and meals, snacks and a bottle of mineral water are included in the cost of the fare.
